Thermal insulation materials refer to the materials or material complexes used for building enclosure or thermal equipment and impedance heat flow transmission, including both thermal insulation materials and cold insulation materials. On the one hand, the thermal insulation material meets the thermal environment of building space or thermal equipment, on the other hand, it also saves energy. Therefore, some countries regard thermal insulation materials as the "fifth largest energy" after coal, oil, natural gas and nuclear energy.
How to distinguish the performance of thermal insulation materials
Thermal insulation performance is mainly reflected by thermal conductivity.

2、 Key points for selection of thermal insulation materials:
The common application types and design selection of thermal insulation materials in buildings shall comply with the provisions of application types and basic requirements of building thermal insulation materials (GB / T 17369-1998).
In addition to the thermal conductivity of the material (the thermal conductivity is not greater than 0.175w / (m.k)), the water absorption, combustion performance, strength and other indicators of the material shall also be considered.
